Mazaj News (Web Desk) Pakistan has been invited to join the Gaza “Board of Peace” being set up by US President Donald Trump, the Foreign Office confirmed on Saturday.
Responding to media questions, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that Pakistan’s prime minister had received a formal invitation from the US president to become part of the peace board focused on Gaza.
He added that Pakistan would continue to participate in international initiatives aimed at restoring peace and stability in Gaza, working toward a lasting resolution of the Palestine issue in line with United Nations resolutions.
The proposed “Board of Peace” is taking shape as the United States moves into the second phase of Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza, a territory left largely devastated after two years of Israeli bombardment.
On Friday, President Trump announced several key members of the panel, including US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former British prime minister Tony Blair, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and senior US negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.
A day later, leaders from Egypt, Türkiye, Argentina, and Canada also confirmed that they had been invited to join the Gaza peace board.
