EU Urges End to Middle East Conflict Through Diplomatic Talks

Mazaj News (Web Desk) The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has said that the ceasefire arrangements involving Iran and Lebanon need to be preserved through continued diplomatic engagement, according to Al Jazeera.

She stressed that international efforts should focus on achieving a lasting end to hostilities and ensuring unrestricted maritime movement in the Strait of Hormuz, without any additional charges or restrictions on navigation.

Von der Leyen further stated that any future peace agreement must take into account concerns related to Iran’s nuclear activities and ballistic missile programme.

She also warned that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East could have wider consequences, potentially impacting economic stability and security across Europe.
