TikTokers vs Travel Ban: Islamabad High Court Seeks Govt Reply

Islamabad High Court Hears Petitions of TikTokers Nadeem Mubarak and Rajab Butt Seeking Removal from Passport Control List

The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday heard petitions filed by popular TikTokers Nadeem Mubarak and Rajab Butt seeking removal of their names from the Passport Control List (PCL).

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan presided over the hearing and issued notices to the Secretary Interior, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and other relevant parties, directing them to submit their replies. The court also issued a notice to the Director General of Passports and Immigration.

Representing the petitioners, Barrister Raja Qadeer Janjua and Advocate Ahad Khokhar appeared before the court. The petitioners argued that their names were unlawfully placed on the travel ban list, which has adversely affected their fundamental rights. They requested the court to order the removal of their names from the Passport Control List.

After seeking responses from all concerned parties, the court adjourned the hearing until next week.
