A massive factory fire in SITE erupted on Thursday evening, triggering a large-scale emergency response, officials said. No casualties were reported.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson Hassaanul Haseeb Khan, the fire broke out around 6:15pm at a clothes-dyeing unit near Nauras Chowrangi in the SITE industrial area. Ten fire tenders from Rescue 1122 and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, along with two snorkels, were dispatched as the blaze was declared a third-degree fire.

Sindh IGP Javed Alam Odho took notice and directed police to cordon off the area and ensure smooth access for rescue teams. Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab confirmed that fire and rescue teams were actively working to control the situation.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah ordered emergency measures and directed an inquiry into the cause of the factory fire in SITE. He also called for a province-wide audit of industrial units, stressing strict enforcement of chemical safety and storage regulations.

Authorities said efforts were underway to fully extinguish the factory fire in SITE and prevent further damage.
