Bollywood Actor Rajpal Yadav Surrenders to Police in Cheque Bounce Case
Bollywood comedian and actor Rajpal Yadav has surrendered to the authorities in connection with a cheque bounce case, Indian media reported.
According to reports, the actor ran into legal trouble after failing to pay the settlement amount in multiple cheque dishonour cases. The Delhi High Court withdrew the relief previously granted to Yadav and directed him to surrender before the concerned jail superintendent by February 4.
Complying with the court’s order, Rajpal Yadav surrendered at Tihar Jail within the stipulated deadline.
Media reports further stated that Yadav’s lawyer had requested additional time for payment, seeking a one-week extension to deposit Rs 50 million. However, the court rejected the plea and ordered immediate compliance.
