ISLAMABAD Dec 21: At least nine terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij were killed in two separate security operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted on December 19. In Dera Ismail Khan, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation and effectively targeted a hideout of the militants. After an exchange of fire, four terrorists were killed.
In another operation conducted in Bannu district, security forces neutralized five more terrorists, ISPR said.
The military’s media wing stated that the killed militants were involved in attacks on security forces and law enforcement agencies and had been actively engaged in several terrorist activities, including the targeted killing of innocent civilians.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the successful operations and reaffirmed the government’s determination to completely eradicate terrorism from the country.
