ISLAMABAD Dec 22: Field Marshal Asim Munir was awarded Saudi Arabia’s highest civilian honor, the King Abdulaziz Medal, during his official visit to the Kingdom, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
ISPR stated that the award was conferred in recognition of Field Marshal Asim Munir’s outstanding military services, leadership, and his significant role in strengthening defense cooperation and strategic alignment between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The honor also acknowledges his contributions to promoting institutional ties, regional peace and stability, counterterrorism efforts, and collaboration in the security domain.
Saudi leadership praised Field Marshal Asim Munir’s professional competence and strategic vision, and appreciated his commitment to further strengthening the long-standing brotherly relations between the two countries.
Expressing gratitude, Field Marshal Asim Munir thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi leadership for the honor, calling it a symbol of the strong and enduring relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the security, stability, and prosperity of the Kingdom.
ISPR emphasized that the award reflects the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and their shared commitment to mutual cooperation and regional stability.
