Windows 2026 Update Bugs Cause Outlook Freezes and App Errors

Windows 2026 update bugs are affecting users worldwide after Microsoft released the first major update of the year, causing Outlook to freeze and several apps to crash or display errors. The issues began appearing shortly after installation and impact both consumer and business systems.

According to user reports, Outlook freezes during startup or when syncing emails. In addition, some Windows apps fail to open or close unexpectedly. Microsoft has acknowledged the problems and confirmed that the update introduced compatibility and performance issues.

To address the situation, Microsoft recommends several temporary fixes. Users can uninstall the latest update through Windows Update settings, disable problematic add-ins in Outlook, or roll back recent driver updates. Restarting affected services has also helped some users restore functionality.

Meanwhile, Microsoft says it is actively working on a patch. Because of this, affected users are advised to pause further updates until a fix is released. Enterprise customers have also been urged to delay large-scale deployments.

Overall, Windows 2026 update bugs highlight the risks that can come with major system updates. Until an official fix arrives, users should apply the recommended workarounds and monitor Microsoft’s support channels for updates.
