Trump Netanyahu Meeting: Iran Talks, Gaza, and Security Concerns on Agenda

Mazaj News : US President Donald Trump hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Wednesday in a crucial Trump Netanyahu meeting. The leaders focused on widening talks with Iran to cover missile limitations, regional security threats, and the nuclear programme.

Netanyahu, meeting Trump for the seventh time since the president returned to office, aimed to influence upcoming US-Iran negotiations following talks in Oman last week. Trump reiterated that a good deal with Iran would include “no nuclear weapons, no missiles” and hinted at sending a second aircraft carrier strike group near Iran.

Israel has pushed the US to ensure any deal addresses ballistic missiles and Iranian support for armed proxies. Tehran, however, has ruled out linking missile capabilities to negotiations, with adviser Ali Shamkhani calling them “non-negotiable.”

The two leaders also discussed Gaza, where Trump aims to push forward a ceasefire agreement he helped broker. While progress on rebuilding the Palestinian enclave has stalled, Israel’s security cabinet recently approved measures in the West Bank that have drawn international criticism.

Despite mostly aligned US-Israel interests, the meeting may reveal tensions over Trump’s Gaza plan and Netanyahu’s coalition policies. The White House confirmed the low-profile visit, which was moved forward amid renewed US engagement with Iran.
