Mazaj News (Web Desk) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will hold a public gathering at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi on January 11 as part of its street campaign ahead of the February 8 protest, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said in a statement on Friday.
“I will hold a rally at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi at 4:30 pm on Sunday,” CM Afridi said in a message ahead of his visit to Sindh, which began after he landed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport today. The KP chief minister said he plans to spread the message of imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan to all parts of Sindh and urged the people of Sindh to fully support PTI in its street movement preparations. “We will organize the largest rally in Karachi’s history,” he added.
Upon his arrival, KP CM Afridi was welcomed at the airport by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Saeed Ghani, who presented him with a Sindhi topi and Ajrak.
However, contrary to CM Afridi’s announcement, the district administration said that PTI has not yet been granted permission to hold a public rally.
The administration added that permission will only be issued after security clearance is completed.
