Mazaj News: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Monday successfully completed the ‘Golden Eagle’ training exercise, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) and new indigenous technology.
The exercise took place in the Southern Air Command’s area of responsibility, aiming to validate combat readiness and operational agility through the synchronized employment of PAF’s full combat potential.
“The exercise was executed under unified command and control from the Next-Generation All-Domain Command and Control Centre at Air Headquarters, Islamabad,” the PAF said.
Conducted on a two-force construct, the exercise emphasized AI-enabled and net-centric operations, while integrating indigenous, disruptive, and smart technologies aligned with evolving regional security dynamics.
Participants operated within a robust integrated air defense system, combining kinetic, cyber, space, and electromagnetic spectrum operations seamlessly.
“The kinetic phase featured first-shoot, first-kill swing-role combat aircraft equipped with long-range air-to-air missiles, extended-range stand-off weapons, and precision strike capabilities, supported by airborne early warning and control platforms and air-to-air refuelers,” the PAF said.
A key highlight was manned-unmanned teaming, where drones and loitering munitions were deployed in highly contested and congested environments to validate PAF’s high-tempo operational capability.
“The successful conduct of exercise ‘Golden Eagle’ reaffirms PAF’s unwavering commitment to maintaining operational preparedness, leveraging indigenous innovation, and effectively countering emerging and future security challenges,” the PAF concluded.
