Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated on Thursday that no schedule has yet been finalized for a second round of discussions between the United States and Iran.
Speaking during his weekly media briefing, Andrabi confirmed that nuclear matters are among the topics under consideration in the ongoing dialogue. However, he emphasized that the Foreign Office would not disclose the positions of Tehran or other parties involved, citing the trust placed in Pakistan to maintain confidentiality.
He urged the media to avoid speculation, stressing that the talks are being conducted in an atmosphere of mutual trust and strict secrecy. “Maintaining confidentiality is crucial for the negotiation process,” he said.
When questioned about the composition of delegations for a potential second round, Andrabi declined to provide details, noting that decisions regarding participants, delegation size, and arrangements would be made solely by the concerned parties.
He reiterated that all information related to the discussions has been shared with Pakistan in confidence and must be handled accordingly.
