ISLAMABAD Dec 27: Pakistan has expressed its support for efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in Yemen, stating that it is closely monitoring recent developments in the country.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan fully supports the diplomatic initiatives undertaken by Saudi Arabia to establish peace and stability in the Republic of Yemen and also appreciates the efforts of the United Arab Emirates.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan has urged all parties to engage in constructive dialogue with sincerity and goodwill to achieve a comprehensive, negotiated political solution.
Emphasizing the need to respect Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity, the spokesperson added that Pakistan hopes the Yemeni parties will refrain from any unilateral actions that could further escalate tensions.
Pakistan further expressed hope that the ongoing diplomatic efforts will lead to concrete steps toward lasting peace in Yemen and contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
