The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Thursday that Pakistan’s security forces have successfully wrapped up Operation Raddul Fitna 1, eliminating at least 216 terrorists in a series of coordinated engagements and clearance operations.
According to the ISPR, the operations targeted India-backed terrorist groups attempting to disrupt peace and development by attacking civilians, including women and children. Unfortunately, 36 innocent civilians and 22 security personnel lost their lives during the operations.
The counterterror operation follows a string of recent attacks by the Fitna al-Hindustan — Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in various districts of Balochistan over the past weekend. Terrorists struck civilians in Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni on January 31. These attacks drew condemnation from multiple countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Iran, UAE, France, Canada, as well as international organizations like the EU, OIC, and UNSC.
The ISPR noted that the operations were launched on January 29 in Panjgur and the outskirts of Harnai following verified intelligence on terrorist hideouts posing imminent threats to local communities. During this phase, security forces neutralized 41 terrorists affiliated with Indian proxy networks.
The military’s media wing highlighted that Pakistan’s security and law enforcement agencies, supported by intelligence services, executed meticulously planned and intelligence-driven operations to dismantle terrorist sleeper cells and degrade the operational capabilities of militant networks.
“These actions have significantly weakened terrorist leadership, command structures, and operational potential,” the ISPR said, paying tribute to the fallen personnel for their courage and dedication.
“The nation honours the sacrifices of all martyrs and stands with the families of civilians and security personnel who lost their lives. Pakistan Armed Forces remain resolute in combating terrorism in all forms under the National Action Plan (NAP), and operations will continue until terrorist threats are completely eradicated,” the ISPR concluded.
