Security Forces Kill Four Indian-Sponsored Terrorists in KP Operation

Security forces eliminated four Indian-sponsored terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing, ISPR, confirmed on Thursday. The terrorists, linked to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (Fitna al Khawarij), were involved in multiple violent incidents in the area. Weapons and ammunition were recovered during the operation.

The operation follows a recent terrorist attack in Bajaur that martyred 11 security personnel, highlighting a recent surge in violence in KP. According to the Annual Security Report 2025 by CRSS, fatalities in the province rose 44% year-on-year, from 1,620 in 2024 to 2,331 in 2025.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari commended the security forces, reaffirming the nation’s resolve to eliminate terrorism under the Azm-i-Istehkam vision
