Turkey’s Fidan in London for Key Talks on Iran, Ukraine and Maritime Security

Mazaj News (Web Desk) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to travel to London later this week for high-level discussions focused on the ongoing conflicts involving Iran and Ukraine, according to a Turkish diplomatic source cited by Reuters. The talks are also expected to cover coordination and cooperation among NATO member states.

The visit coincides with a separate initiative by the United Kingdom, where military officials from over 30 nations are gathering in London for two days of meetings. These discussions aim to move forward plans for a potential mission to restore safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

Previously, more than a dozen countries signaled their readiness to participate in a maritime security effort led by the United Kingdom and France to safeguard shipping routes in the strait when conditions allow. However, Fidan has expressed concerns, noting that such an operation could face significant challenges.
