ISLAMABAD Jan 1: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, the prime minister described the conversation as warm and friendly. He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are moving towards a bright, hopeful, and strong future, adding that relations between the two brotherly countries have expanded significantly in recent months and will continue to grow in the days ahead.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that both leaders agreed on the importance of further enhancing mutual cooperation, noting that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always stood by each other, especially during challenging times.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the overall regional situation. The prime minister emphasized the need for unity and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah and stressed that dialogue and diplomacy are the only effective means to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz said Pakistan has consistently supported efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.
He also expressed gratitude to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for reiterating Saudi Arabia’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan in all sectors. According to the prime minister, the Saudi crown prince conveyed his intention to undertake an official visit to Pakistan next year, a development being seen as a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral ties.
