LAHORE: The Punjab government has ordered strict action against violations of the one-dish rule at wedding ceremonies and the unlawful use of loudspeakers.
The directives were issued during a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who instructed all commissioners and deputy commissioners to ensure full compliance with the one-dish policy across the province.
The Chief Minister has ordered a crackdown on loud music at weddings and other events, and instructed authorities to take measures against the illegal use of loudspeakers at farmhouses and open grounds.
The meeting also approved a principle decision to enforce the one-dish rule at farmhouses and grounds as well. Additionally, officials were directed to monitor adherence to the designated timings for marriage halls.
