ISLAMABAD Dec 11: A meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Political Committee was held under the chairmanship of Advisor to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah and Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam.
The meeting was attended by PML-N Azad Jammu and Kashmir President and Leader of the Opposition Shah Ghulam Qadir, former AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, General Secretary Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Vice President Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Senior Vice President Mushtaq Minhas, Information Secretary Barrister Iftikhar Gillani, and other party leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister Amir Muqam said that the development of Azad Kashmir and the provision of facilities to its people are key components of the PML-N manifesto.
He urged the PML-N AJK leadership to play an active and organized role in mobilizing the party ahead of the upcoming elections, assuring them of full support from the central leadership.
Amir Muqam expressed confidence that under the visionary leadership of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N would achieve success in the next AJK elections, as it is the party capable of addressing public grievances and delivering effective governance.
He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has shown special interest in the development of Azad Kashmir and that the federal government will continue to extend all possible cooperation to accelerate the region’s development initiatives.
