ATC orders confiscation of Aleema Khan’s bail bonds

RAWALPINDI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Thursday ordered the confiscation of bail bonds submitted by Aleema Khan, after she failed to appear before the court in a case related to the November 26 protest.

During the hearing, Aleema Khan and her legal team did not appear, prompting the prosecution to request confiscation of her bail bonds.
The prosecution argued that Aleema Khan had earlier assured the court that she would appear at every hearing.

Acting on the prosecution’s plea, the court ordered the forfeiture of two bail bonds worth Rs 1 million each.
The court also issued bailable arrest warrants and notices for cancellation of her bail.

Following the orders, the court adjourned further proceedings until December 15.

According to court staff, Aleema Khan arrived later, accompanied by her lawyer, after the judicial proceedings had already concluded.
