Islamabad Pushes for Progress as US–Iran Dialogue Remains Pending

Mazaj News (Web Desk) Uncertainty remains over the timing of the second round of negotiations between the United States and Iran, as no official date has been confirmed and Tehran has yet to issue a formal response, according to a source familiar with the matter.

When asked about any developments or signals regarding the next phase of talks, the source simply stated “still awaited,” reflecting the cautious atmosphere within diplomatic circles.

Even as approval for a second round of discussions in Islamabad is still pending from both sides, there is reportedly cautious optimism in the Pakistani capital.

Commenting on expectations, the source referenced religious sentiment, noting that one should never lose hope in divine mercy, suggesting that progress may still be possible.

Pakistan continues to play a facilitation role, actively engaging with both Washington and Tehran in an effort to bring the two sides closer and reduce tensions through dialogue aimed at long-term stability.

Diplomatic observers say the proposed talks are being closely monitored internationally, given the wider regional and global implications of strained US-Iran relations.

Although no concrete breakthrough has been announced, officials indicate that informal contacts and ongoing diplomatic efforts are continuing behind the scenes, keeping hopes alive for forward movement.

For now, attention remains fixed on whether a formal response from Tehran or an agreed date will emerge, potentially paving the way for a second round of engagement in Islamabad.
