Guard of Honour Ceremony for Pakistan’s First Chief of Defence Forces held

RAWALPINDI, Dec 08 :A guard of honour ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) here on Monday in honour of Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jur’at.
A smartly turned out contingent comprising personnel from the three forces including Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) presented the Guard of Honour in a dignified ceremony.
The event was organised to mark Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s appointment as Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).
The Chief of Naval Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, and other senior military officers were also attended the ceremony.
Later, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, as the guest of honour, reviewed the guard.
